Barbara Braun McDonald

"The Bridge to Home: Teachers & Parents Together Educating the Traumatized Child"

Barbara Braun-McDonald is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adolescent and Child Psychiatry, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Attachment Therapist. She has been in private practice nineteen years. For the last ten years, her specialty has been adoption and attachment issues while still working with children with PTSD and anxiety disorders. Barbara has presented workshops and consulted with agencies and schools on, Adoption and Attachment issues all over the USA and in England.



Lucy Blood

"Sticks and Stones and Words Can Hurt: Transracial Adoption Realities"

Lucy Blood, M.Div., M.Ed., is an ordained United Church of Christ minister and has served churches for 12 years. She taught at the high school level for 8 years and at the middle school level for 12 years. Currently Lucy teaches reading to special education students. Lucy is a songwriter and a member of ASCAP, and has authoring two books: Study Skills: Strategies for Students, Parents, Teachers and the newly published children's book The Pirates Log.
